Viking compass (The Vegvisir)
This is a beautifully carved Viking compass. Made in an equally beautiful piece of Ash wood. It shows the eight rune staves and is surrounded by a celtic weave.
The piece is 200mm or 20cm diameter and 18mm thick.
A lovely piece of wood that is perfect in every room.
It is treated with Danish wood oil to enhance the natural wood colour and grain.
It will also come with a 3d printed stand to display it on so no need to worry about where to put it.
The Vegvisir, is also known as the runic compass or the Viking compass/Nordic compass made of eight Viking rune staves, is a symbol of protection and guidance believed to be used as a compass by Vikings. ... it is said that this symbol would help its wearer to not get lost and find their way back.
All of our carvings are done using the finest quality wood and we do our very best to sensibly source it.
Wood colouring and grain lines will vary slightly from piece to piece.

Once carved our pieces go through a quality control to ensure that our high standards are met. Then they are hand oiled using the finest quality Danish wood oil for a perfect finish. They also arrive with a 3d printed stand for display.
Most of our carvings can be personalised with names or wording of our customers ensuring that the finished item is as unique as possible to our customers requirements.
